Hey all,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. A lot of loose sketching flying around but i finally think i am getting a hang on it. Spent a lot more time building up layers of volumes as the sculptors all seem to say. Really i am trying to focus on the relationships between these voluemes as the lead to more unified pieces. Still need to nail down proportions faster and need to start adding ears to the bloody things, otherwise they still look not quite done. Cheers!

A new year and a new resolution

In a effort to feel less mediocre and more like an actual learning artist, I have decided to sketch an hour every day in zbrush. The goal is to star from simple primitives like a sphere to better realize volume and from while maintaining an eye for subtly and anatomy. As of now i need to get mouths and eyes fleshed in quicker. The hope is by the end of this year i could be a boss in the zedbrush. Though i lost my first couple of sketches to various appending subtool mishaps I finally got something to post! Granted it's not great but it is something. Here is to a year of new growth!

POKEYMANS

It's Howdie Doodie Time!
I recently ventured upon a little cite called CG hub. I am continuosly amazed by the quality of work that come out of the folks on that site. For the last few weeks I have been silently stalking the contest forums yearning for an interesting one jump jump in on and hone my skills. Then, Viola! Pokemon redesign. Now I have a soft spot in my heart for the pocket monsters and as such in honor of one of my friends from the by gone eras of red, blues and yellows, I decided to do Sandslash. Here is a brief WIP. Looking for a giant ground sloth/armadillo/blah-blah-therium (mammals was never my strong suit :P) Enjoy!

Dragon process

Hey all trying a new process though i would post. This is a side project that I am doing related to something I doing at work. It has been floating around in my head for a while now and I am glad to finally get it out on "paper". I am also trying to do more personal work in order to continue the process of sucking less. Cheers!
